That's Nacho!

There are people who work and people who EXCEL at what they do. Mostly because they love it. If you head over to Castro Valley to visit Don Jose's Restaurant, they have really great employees, but there is one such exceptional worker. Folks around here just call him "Nacho."

I enjoy spending some time with friends and family at Don Jose's. I have never had a bad meal there. The food is really very tasty, very good. The employees at Don Jose's are always kind and helpful. Very nice people.

One of these employees, Nacho, goes above and beyond and makes the experience much more enjoyable. For example, he knows I like the green sauce, so he comes by my table, leans down and carefully places a little bowl of green sauce. "For emergencies," he says, gives a wink and heads off to get our extra chips. He makes it a point to try to learn names of regular customers. We end up greeting each other saying our names across the restaurant like we just came home to a big family dinner.

There is enough drama and negativity in the world. Wouldn't it be nice if instead of complaining when we go out, we make it a point to compliment those who help us? It's also so important that those who go out of their way to make your time so much more enjoyable be recognized for doing so.

Don Jose's Mexican restaurant can be located at 3430 Castro Valley Blvd. You can even call ahead for an order 510-538-3290. They have a cool-looking bar, if you are "looking to get away" for awhile, and a large room for parties.
