Vote for Castro Valley Student in Statewide Video Competition

CASTRO VALLEY, CA. – Angelina Retodo, a senior at Castro Valley High School, is currently competing in a statewide video competition for the chance to win one of three scholarships for up to $2,000. The 2018 Districts Make the Difference Student Video Contest, sponsored by the California Special Districts Association, challenged high school students to create original videos that highlight the work of special districts.

Ms. Retodo was entered into this competition after winning the Alameda County division in October with a video about the Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan). As the Alameda County winner, Ms. Retodo will receive a $500 scholarship.

“I want to thank each of the students who entered the contest for the time and effort it took to create their video highlighting special districts in our community,” said Roland P. Williams, Jr., Chapter President of the Alameda County Special Districts Association and CVSan General Manager. “We feel honored that Angelina Retodo featured CVSan in her video and so clearly conveys to the public the services we provide our customers every day.”
