Weekend House Fire Displaces 2 Adults, 2 Dogs
Fire officials identified the cause of the San Lorenzo blaze as overloaded extension cords.
SAN LORENZO, CA – Overloaded extension cords were blamed for a San Lorenzo house fire that broke out over the weekend, displacing two adults and two dogs, according to officials.
The Alameda County Fire Department responded Saturday at 7:56 p.m. to a single-story residence on the 17000 block of Via San Ardo where a fire was underway in the front living room area, the agency said.
Crews quickly extinguished and contained the one-alarm blaze to the living room, but the house sustained heavy smoke damage throughout, officials said.
