• Update: Lawn Fire in Mariposa County remains fully contained as of Tuesday morning (sacbee.com) — A 32.5-acre wildfire that started Monday afternoon in Catheys Valley is fully contained as of early Tuesday, according to Cal Fire’s Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit. Firefighters have ringed the Lawn Fire with control lines, so it’s no longer spreading, though crews are still monitoring hot spots and investigating what sparked it.
