Merlin Law Group, a national law firm dedicated to representing policyholders in insurance disputes, is pleased to announce the addition of Glenn Rosen, Esq. this week. Mr. Rosen, a 20-year veteran of consumer insurance law, will practice at the firm’s Los Angeles office located at 1800 Century Park East, Suite 600, Los Angeles, CA 90067 in Century City.
“As general counsel for CAPIA (the California Association of Public Insurance Adjusters), Glenn Rosen fits perfectly within Merlin Law Group’s leadership culture,” says Chip Merlin, President of Merlin law Group and co-founder of FAPIA (the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters). “It’s obvious he practices this area of law because he has a passion for those he represents, and is more concerned with being a consumer advocate than taking on short term initiatives with big insurance, and merely lining his pockets with money.”
Mr. Rosen’s professional career has focused on litigation and advocating for residential, business and condominium association policyholders in disputes against insurance companies, with his primary practice emphasis in insurance coverage and bad faith. Most recently, Glenn was a partner at Loewenthal, Hillshafer & Rosen, LLP in Sherman Oaks, California. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in Sacramento, California. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from California State University, Northridge.

As the Policyholder’s Advocate®, Merlin Law Group has been pursuing the rights of residential, commercial and condominium property owners since 1985. Founded by William F. “Chip” Merlin in Tampa, FL, the firm has expanded to five additional locations with offices in West Palm Beach and Coral Gables, Florida; Houston, Texas; Denver, Colorado; and Los Angeles, California. Merlin Law Group’s corporate philosophy is based on the belief that insurance policies should be honored and that policyholders should have legal recourse if their insurers do not act in good faith. Additionally, Merlin Law Group is the home of Policyholders of Florida®, a watchdog consumer group that canvasses for fair consumer insurance legislation in the State of Florida. President, Chip Merlin, is a nationally renowned industry spokesperson and lecturer.
Mr. Rosen gained notoriety in his successful representation of approximately 60 homeowners associations and property owners in litigation against State Farm and Allstate Insurance Companies, alleging bad faith claims handling arising from the 1994 Northridge, California earthquake. In addition to his work with CAPIA, Glenn is an active member and presenter in NAPIA (the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters). Also, he has served as Judge Pro Tem for the County of Los Angeles Superior Courts, and has authored numerous industry-related articles.
