A small earthquake off the coast of Catalina Island shook the region Thursday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A small earthquake off the Southern California coast line was felt across the region Thursday morning. The magnitude-3.1 earthquake struck about 17 miles south- southeast of Catalina Island, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck shortly after 10:30 a.m. There are no reports of damage or injuries.
This following a 4.5 magnitude quake that rattled the Bay area awake in the early hours of the morning and got readers across social media platforms sharing that jolt of adrenaline with one another.
