MONTAGE BEVERY HILLS AND SCARPETTA TO HOST "VINI ET D?NER" FRENCH-ITALIAN DINNER

September 9, 2015 (BEVERLY HILLS, CALI.) – Montage Beverly Hills’ Executive Chef Patrice Martineau and Scarpetta Executive Chef Freddy Vargas invite guests to join them September 24th for a gastronomic journey through Italy and France at “Vini et Dîner,” an exclusive seated dinner in the Mediterranean-inspired Scarpetta dining room. At “Vini et Dîner” (or “Wine & Dine”), the evening will begin with a champagne and hors d’oeuvre reception followed by a five course prix fixe menu featuring Chef Patrice Martineau’s authentic and inventive French cuisine that will be perfectly complemented by Chef Vargas’ modern Italian dishes from Scarpetta. Each course will incorporate a thoughtful wine pairing hand selected by Scarpetta’s Lead Sommelier, Roberto Loppi.
Executive Chef Patrice Martineau joined Montage Beverly Hills in May 2015 and brought with him an authentic yet playful approach to traditional French cuisine. Chef Martineau hails from Champagne, France and has worked in some of the most esteemed, iconic French restaurants around the world. Meanwhile, Scarpetta Executive Chef Freddy Vargas has fast become one of the city’s leading chefs amidst an ever evolving and very exciting culinary landscape in Los Angeles. Montage Beverly Hills is delighted to highlight the unique talents of this dynamic chef duo as they collaborate for the first time in the beautiful Scarpetta kitchen and showcase their vibrant regional specialties.
Included in the international culinary tour will be unique dishes such as Citrus Marinated Hamachi, Porcini Gnocchi, Lightly Smoked Sea Bass and Pancetta Wrapped Duck. Each course will be artfully prepared by Martineau and Vargas in an inventive manner showcasing the talents of these two masterful chefs. A dessert duo of Floating Island and Smoke Gijuanda Budino provides a perfect ending to a rarified dining experience.
