Semifinals Set at Farmers Classic

It's down to the final four in the Farmers Classic tennis tournament at UCLA and only one seeded player remains in singles.

That would be top-seeded Mardy Fish, who took care of eighth-seeded Igor Kunitysn of Russia, 6-2, 6-4, in the quarterfinals Friday. Looking for his second consecutive ATP Tour title, Fish will play Ryan Harrison in the semifinals Saturday afternoon.

Harrison, a 19-year-old from Louisiana, rallied past Yen-Hsun Lu of Taipei, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in their quarterfinal Friday. Lu had upset Marcos Baghdatis, 6-3, 6-4, on Wednesday.

Saturday night's semifinal will pit American Alex Bogomolov, Jr., against Ernests Gulbis of Latvia at Straus Stadium. Bogomolov beat fourth-seeded Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1, in the quarterfinals while Gulbis upset second-seeded Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina, 6-2, 6-4.

Saturday's semifinal winners meet for the championship at 2 p.m. Sunday at Straus Stadium.
