University High Volleyball Seeded No. 6 in Playoffs
The Wildcats will host Reseda in the first round of the City Division II tournament on Tuesday.

The City Section boys volleyball playoff seedings were determined Tuesday night and University High has been awarded the No. 6 seed in Division II. The Wildcats host No. 11 Reseda in the first round of the 16-team, single-elimination tournament Tuesday at 7 p.m.
If victorious, University will either host 14th-seeded Hollywood or travel to No. 3 Eagle Rock in the quarterfinals next Thursday, also at 7 p.m. The Wildcats (13-11-1 overall, 10-2 in league) beat in four sets in their regular season finale last week and finished second in the behind .
The semifinals are May 17 at 7 p.m. and the final is Saturday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m. at Roybal Learning Center.

Verdugo Hills is the No. 1 seed in Division II, followed by LA Jordan, Eagle Rock and Bravo Medical. Three other Western League schools are also in the 16-team draw. Fairfax is No. 8, Venice is No. 10 and is No. 12.
Palisades is seeded No. 2 in the 24-team tournament. The Dolphins have a first-round bye and host the winner of Thursday's match between No. 15 Granada Hills Kennedy and No. 18 Chatsworth in the second round Tuesday at 7 p.m.

West Valley League champion Granada Hills, which defeated Palisades in four sets in a nonleague match in March, is the No. 1 seed in Division I and also has a first-round bye.
Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies, which finished sixth out of seven teams in the Western League, is seeded No. 6 in the Small Schools Division.
