West LA Hosts All-Star Softball Tournaments
The local Little League is the venue for the 11 & 12 and 10 & 11 District 25 playoffs.

The West Los Angeles Little League has been chosen to host both the 9 & 10 and the 11 & 12-year-old District 25 All-Star Softball Tournaments and sure enough, West LA is one of four teams in each age division.
In the 11-12 age group, West LA opens against Culver City on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and the winner faces Beverly Hills or North Venice at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The championship game is Saturday, July 2, at 11:30 a.m., with a second and deciding game Sunday, July 3, at 10 a.m. if an undefeated team loses the July 2 game.
In the 9-10 age group, West LA plays Beverly Hills at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, and the winner plays the Culver City-Malibu winner in the semifinals June 30 at 6:30 p.m. The championship game is Saturday, July 2, at 11 a.m., with a second and deciding game Sunday, July 3, at 10:15 a.m. if an undefeated team loses the July 2 game.

The West LA fields are located at 1411 S. Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Culver City Little League will host the 11 & 12-year-old District 25 All-Star Baseball Tournament, which starts Friday at Bill Botts Field in Culver City.
West LA is one of nine teams are in the tournament. The others are Culver City, Culver Marina, Beverly Hills, Ladera, Santa Monica East, Santa Monica West, Malibu and North Venice. The champion advances to the Sectional tournament.

Play begins Friday evening when North Venice plays Santa Monica East at 5 p.m. on Field A. The winner will play West LA at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 26. If West LA wins it will play the Culver City-Beverly Hills winner in the quarterfinals June 29 at 5 p.m. on Field A. The championship game is Saturday, July 9, at 11 a.m., with a second and deciding game Monday, July 11, if an undefeated team loses the July 9 game.
Ladera Little League is hosting the 10-11 division, where West LA opens against University at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday June 26, with the winner advancing to play North Venice at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28. The championship game is Tuesday, July 12, at 6 p.m., with a second and deciding game Wednesday, July 13, if an undefeated team loses the July 12 game.
Culver City and Ladera Little Leagues are co-hosting the 9-10 age division. The 12-team tournament starts Saturday, when West LA plays Santa Monica East at 10 a.m. at Culver City's Bill Botts Field. The winner will play either Wrigley or Culver Marina in the second round at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29 at Ladera. The championship game is Tuesday, July 12, at 5:30 p.m. at Ladera, with a second and deciding game at the same time the next night if an undefeated team loses the July 12 game.
The Junior Division, also hosted by Culver City Little League, starts Monday, June 27, and includes nine teams: West LA, City of Angels, Santa Monica East, University, Culver City, University, Beverly Hills, Culver Marina, Santa Monica West and North Venice. West LA plays its first game Wednesday, June 29, at 5:30 p.m. against University, with the winner playing Beverly Hills or Culver Marina at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The championship game is Wednesday, July 13, at 5:30 p.m., with a second and deciding game at the same time July 14 if an undefeated team loses the July 13 game.
The Senior Division, hosted by Beverly Hills Little League, will begin Thursday, July 7. West LA is not among the five teams in the tournament.
