'Saddle the Wind' at the Hammer Museum

• Where: Billy Wilder Theater, Hammer Museum
• When:  July 27, 7:30 p.m.
• Event: Watch the classic western 'Saddle the Wind' (1958), preceded by The Twilight Zone: 'Mr. Denton on Doomsday' (1959). The event kicks off the "Rod Serling: Other Dimensions" series, honoring Serling, host of the Twilight Zone series. Marc Scott Zicree, author of the book "The Twilight Zone Companion," will give a talk at the event.

Summer Sunset Concert: Salar Nader

• Where: Fowler Museum - Davis Courtyard
• When: July 29, 4 p.m.
• Event: Listen to Afghan percussionist Salar Nader play the dhol and dholak. The performance celebrates the closing day of the exhibition "Order and Disorder: Alighiero Boetti by Afghan Women."
• Cost: Free 

2012 Farmers Classic Tournament

• Where: Los Angeles Tennis Center - Stadium Courts
• When: July 27-29, 12 p.m.
• Event: Watch the longest running annual professional sporting event in Los Angeles. The tournament includes a 28-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles competition.
