Sheriff's to Hone Their Skills with Response Drill in Cerritos
Member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will use Los Cerritos Center as the location for a tactical response drill. The event is not open to the public.

Neighbors need not panic if they happen to spot police activity at the Los Cerritos Center on Tuesday.
Cerritos Sheriff’s officials will be at the shopping center for an emergency preparedness training with mall personnel, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials said.
Sheriff’s officials described Los Cerritos as “one of the safest retail establishments in Southern California.” The emergency tactical response drill is part of an effort to keep it safe, they said.

Organizers said the event will involve personnel from Cerritos, Lakewood, Norwalk and Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Stations, Cerritos Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), mall security and store personnel, organizers said.
The event is closed to the public.
