Chico Fire: 700 Acres Charred, Containment Grows
The Stoney Fire is burning near Bidwell Park in Butte County.

CHICO, CA — A brush fire in Chico has burned about 700 acres and is roughly 40 percent contained Friday night, Cal Fire officials said. The Stoney Fire was reported late Thursday night, according to the Chico Fire Department. All evacuation orders have been lifted.
The Chico Fire Department and Cal Fire crews are working to knock down the blaze and have brought in bulldozers and air support resources. No other information is available.
