She describes struggling to access support for social skills, anxiety, and daily behavior, while Far Northern Regional Center explains how it decides which agencies pay for care. Families are urged to start with an eligibility and needs assessment.
   

• Chico city council will review police license plate reader access (krcrtv.com) — Chico's City Council has ordered a review of police automated license plate readers after learning federal agencies like ICE and Border Patrol could access local data. A special meeting is set for Sept. 22, and the police chief has temporarily limited access to California law enforcement only, while residents raise sharp privacy and accountability concerns.
   

• Taste of Downtown returns to Downtown Chico on September 6th (actionnewsnow.com) — Downtown Chico's popular Taste of Downtown returns Sunday, Sept. 6, with more than 25 local restaurants, breweries, and pubs offering special tastings plus a free concert at City Plaza. Organizers say tickets are limited, so Chico residents who want to sample local flavors, enjoy live music, and check out the beer garden should plan ahead and buy early.
