Hi! My name is Jane Taff and I am a mom, entrepreneur and volunteer in Citrus Heights. I have lived and worked here for the past 12 years. I am originally from San Francisco and I find that moving way out to the suburbs has been a pleasant surprise. In fact, when our family was moved to Houston for 4 years, I missed this area VERY much (Houston is NOT for a native Californian!)
Oh, how I love Citrus Heights, let me list the reasons why:

1. Diversity: Many different cultures and backgrounds are celebrated and honored here
2. High-Functioning Government: The City Council is comprised of folks who are dedicated to the betterment of our city and sound fiscal judgment.

3. Shopping: We have a mall and several great shopping areas with a mix of larger stores and mom-and-pop shops.
4. Dining: As a self-described “foodie” I am continually amazed at the variety of flavors offered in my city.
5. A small town feel: We uniquely straddle the idea of “Small Town USA” and “city” very well. I have participated in the Red, White and Blue Parade, Fireworks Display, Sunday FunDay and the Veteran’s Picnic to name a few events.
6. Great for Families: Lots of parks, good schools and lots of ways to volunteer!
