California Taxpayer Advocacy Organizations Endorse Doug Haaland

Candidate for the 8th Assembly District Doug Haaland (R-Arden Park) today received the endorsement of two California taxpayer protection organizations, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC and Lew Uhler, President of the National Tax Limitation Committee.

“We believe [Doug] will be an excellent representative for taxpayers,” said Kris Vosburgh on behalf of the HJTA Political Action Committee.

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association is dedicated to the protection of Proposition 13 and the advancement of taxpayers' rights, including the right to limited taxation, the right to vote on tax increases and the right of economical, equitable and efficient use of taxpayer dollars.

“I know that Doug Haaland will work hard to ensure that California families are not overburdened with oppressive taxes and fees," said Uhler. "California is one of the highest taxed states in the nation and we need someone in the California State Assembly who will stand with taxpayers and lead the charge to spend their hard earned money wisely.”

The National Tax Limitation Committee has been at work since 1975 and is one of the longest standing strategically oriented pro-taxpayer/entrepreneur organizations in America. Its mission has been to provide national leadership to achieve the optimal size and functions of government and promote candidates and initiatives that support these goals.

“I’m honored to have received the endorsement of these long-standing pro-taxpayer organizations,” Haaland said. “As an elected official I will continue the fight to reduce the constant tax burden placed on California’s families.”

Assembly District 8 includes the communities of Arden-Arcade, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Rancho Murieta, Rosemont, Wilton and portions of unincorporated Sacramento County.
