Looks forward to discussing ways to improve 8th Assembly District in General Election
Doug Haaland (R-Arden Park) issued the following statement in response to the outcome of tonight’s Primary Election:
“I want to thank the voters of the 8th Assembly District for their support today. I have spent the past several months visiting with residents, attending community events and sharing my ideas on how to improve the 8th District and the state with voters throughout the district.

“I look forward to engaging in lively debates with my opponent and discussing my ideas about how to improve the state’s education system, strengthen public safety and address our ongoing water crisis.”
Doug Haaland, an Air Force veteran and former legislative consultant, came in second in tonight’s election to represent the voters of the 8th Assembly District in the California State Assembly and will move on to the General Election in November.

Assembly District 8 includes the communities of Arden-Arcade, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Rancho Murieta, Rosemont, Wilton and portions of unincorporated Sacramento County.
