Reading, writing, arithmetic…financial literacy.

Unfortunately, that’s not how it works these days. Many teens get out of high school without knowing how to find a job or avoid credit card debt.

So when better than tax time to offer a trio of programs designed to help teens gain financial smarts. We’ve joined Money Smart Week, a 4-year-old joint effort between the American Library Association and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, to offer financial literacy programs for young people through schools and libraries across the country.

All three programs take place at the Sylvan Oaks Library (6700 Auburn Blvd.) and are meant for teen audiences.
