• Greenbelt behind local library catches fire twice in one day (citrusheightssentinel.com) — Two separate fires broke out about 12 hours apart in the greenbelt behind Sylvan Oaks Library and Crosswoods Community Park in Citrus Heights, scorching about half an acre but sparing nearby homes and buildings. Police first discovered an unoccupied homeless camp just before the morning blaze and later ruled out encampment activity in the smaller nighttime fire; investigators still don't know what caused either incident.
