• World Mental Health Day Observed At Pitzer College In Claremont On Friday (patch.com) — Claremont residents and Pitzer College students are invited to a World Mental Health Day celebration on campus this Friday, featuring a carnival, petting zoo, snacks, and activities like stigma plate smashing. The event at the Pitzer Mounds aims to build community support and awareness around mental health as part of the annual Oct. 10 observance.

• 2027 Grants Will Expand Access to Exercise Programs for People Affected by Cancer (healthandfitness.org) — People in Claremont affected by cancer may soon see more tailored exercise support, as The Claremont Club is one of ten U.S. fitness centers receiving a 2027 grant to expand exercise-oncology programs. The funding will train staff in cancer-specific fitness and grow programs that help patients and survivors safely stay active during and after treatment.
