What’s going happen to the stuff you guys take? That is the question in the minds of many people who have items they must get rid of, but don’t want those items to go to waste. So, if you use Junk King recycling and junk hauling, I have an answer. Sixty percent of the material is either recycled or donated to charity. So, how does it work?
Founded in 2005, Junk King wanted to be the fastest and the greenest full-service junk haulers in the business. Often we can offer same day appointments, but how do we manage to keep most of what we haul out of the landfills?
Junk King recycles metal, paper, E-waste, cardboard, etc. All our franchisees are in partnerships throughout the country with others who haul away the various recyclables. We recycle tons of steel, E-waste, cardboard, etc. per year. The number is pretty astronomical if you want to know. But to do this, your old junk becomes our new junk for a while. It gets stored in the warehouse while it is waiting to be recycled.

But if your old sofa for instance, is clean, comfortable, but just not your style anymore--it’s doesn’t get dumped. There are families all over America who need a sofa to make a comfortable home. Perhaps they are disadvantaged or victims of a fire. We have charitable partners who either directly donate that sofa, or sell it and use the proceeds for charitable purposes. Can you do this yourself? Sure. Got a pick-up truck and a strong back? Hardly any charity picks up items anymore from individuals.
Our landfills get more expensive to use all the time. They are eyesores and health hazards. Keeping junk out of the landfill is not only good for business, it is good for the environment. (Of course, some of those other guys use the side-of-the-road dumps to save money—we don’t!) Junk King is green. For an appointment call 1-888-888-5865 (JUNK.)
