Cinema Botanica is a nature-themed outdoor film series, presented in California Botanic Garden’s magical Forest Pavilion. Each screening features pre-movie crafts and themed trivia, and every paid ticket comes with admission to the Garden and a free popcorn with optional native plant toppings (this year’s flavors coming soon). All CalBG member children (12 years and under) get in free!
Join fairy Christa and the magical and animal inhabitants of FernGully as they fight the humans who are trying to destroy their rainforest home and the evil spirit of Hexxus who feeds off of pollution. This animated classic takes you back to the good old days of hand-drawn animation, complete with musical numbers! Pre-movie activities include crafts and trivia. Movie starts around 8pm (sunset permitting).
