Six-Word Memoirs® with Author Larry Smith

Come meet Larry Smith, author and creator of the Six-Word Memoirs® project.

Six-word narrative writing has already become a favorite event at Hillcrest. Now, the person who started it all is taking the lead. Join us for a special event hosted by Larry Smith, creator of Six-Word Memoirs® and author of the book Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure. Larry will share how the idea grew into a storytelling phenomenon and some of the unforgettable memoirs he’s collected along the way. Then he’ll guide you as you create a six-word memoir of your own.

Larry Smith is the creator of the Six-Word Memoirs® project, which has been featured by The New York Times, NPR and The New Yorker. Oprah Magazine has said Larry is on a “quest to spark the creativity in everyone.”
