Claremont Councilman Lyons Released from Hospital
Councilman Joe Lyons suffered a severe hand injury that sent him into nine hours of surgery.

Injured Claremont Mayor Pro Tem Joe Lyons was released from the hospital Tuesday and is now continuing his recovery at his Claremont home, city officials said.
Lyons was injured on April 22, while working in his home. According to members of the citizens group Keeping the GOOD in Our Neighborhood, the councilman had been working with a table saw when he injured a hand.
The councilman was taken to USC Medical Center where he underwent nine hours of surgery, according to Claremont City Manager Tony Ramos. He had remained at the hospital until late Tuesday when he was released.

He’s not taking visitors or phone calls at the moment, said Claremont spokesperson Bevin Handle adding they did not immediately know when the councilman would resume his city duties.
In his weekly City Manager Update, posted on the Claremont's website, Ramos said City Hall is accepting cards that will be given to the family. City Hall’s address is 207 Harvard Ave. Claremont, CA. 91711.
