Claremont, La Verne Motorists Be Warned, A Body Was Found on Brea Canyon
For those Claremonters and La Verne residents who avoid the 57 Freeway by using Brea Canyon Road, a body was found dumped along that road today.

For those of you in La Verne and, especially Claremont, who travel into south into Orange County regularly and use Brea Canyon Road, a body was found dumped in a trash can along the road today, police said.
A motorist spotted the trash can on the side of the road, Brea police Lt. Jerry Brakebill said.
"Someone driving by saw the trash can and apparently stopped to see what it was all about, opened it up, and, when they realized there was a body inside, called us," Brakebill said.

Police got the call at 3:08 p.m.
"We don't know at this point if it's a male, female, adult or a child," Brakebill said.

Police closed off Brea Canyon Road from Central Avenue to Tonner Canyon Road for the investigation. The road is heavily used by motorists coming from the northwest end of the Inland Empire as a way to avoid the 57 Freeway.
