Claremont, La Verne Residents Get Out to the Polls

Thousands of people kept local polling places busy as the nation voted for its president and the state voted for some heavily fought for propositions.

Several thousand Claremont and La Verne residents steadily streamed in and out of polling places on Tuesday to cast their votes in person.

Despite the option to vote early, many said they felt more plugged in and a part of the process by voting in person.

In La Verne, the Community Center located within the Civic Center, hosted a small polling place. A handful of voting booths were kept busy by a steady stream of voters, volunteers said late Tuesday.
