Claremont Police Are Searching for Armed Robber

A man armed with a handgun robbed the Yum-Yum Donuts this afternoon.

Claremont Police are searching for a robber who held up the Yum-Yum Donuts on Indian Hill this afternoon.

The incident was reported about 4:40 p.m. Officers said they received a 9-1-1 call from the donut shop, at 366 S. Indian Hill Boulevard, according to a news release issued by Claremont Police Lt. Jason Walters.

The robber reportedly walked into the business and showed them he had a handgun, Walter’s wrote.

He demanded cash from the register and the clerk complied handing over an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the news release.

The robber was last seen running southbound through the parking lot, Walters wrote.

The suspect is described as a male Asian or Hispanic with dark hair, age 21 to 27, 5-foot-6 and weighing about 160-170 pounds. He wore a white shirt with dark stripes, blue pants and black shoes with white laces, officials said.
