La Verne Police Warn of Thieves Posing as Handymen

The La Verne Police Department is warning residents about thieves posing as repair or salespersons.

According to authorities, people posing as solicitors, painters, landscapers, roofers, and utilities employees have gotten into homes intent on committing some kind of crime.

Residents are encouraged to use discretion before allowing anyone to enter their home, officials said.

Residents are also encouraged to call the police department at (909)-596-1913 to report any suspicious activity, officials said.
