The outbreak and rapid spread of COVID 19 has flustered markets and disrupted supply chains, threatening the global economy. The emergency action of governors and local authorities has affected businesses on matters ranging from contracts, workers compensation, insurance, landlord-tenant and employment relations. Legal issues will persist as businesses plan and prepare to reopen with adaptive measures.

The College of Law Students will be completing their externships this year by working with our panelists to discuss and answer questions regarding social, economic, and legal issues raised by the crisis. The externship, a temporary training program in a workplace, especially one offered to students as part of a course of study, will provide an opportunity to interactively understand the legal risks and how to effectively manage them.
