LaVerne Cops Escort Lucky Kid To School

A raffle winner won the big prize in LaVerne with a ride to school in a real La Verne Police Department Cop car.

LA VERNE, CA — It was drive a raffle winner to school Thursday, as the La Verne Police Department announced a winner was chosen for the drive a student to school day.

"Chief Paz had the pleasure of driving this lucky raffle winning La Verne Heights student to school," the department shared over Instagram. With so many youngsters longing to grow up and join the police or firefighters, this was just another proud moment for this lucky young man.

La Verne Heights School organized the raffle, and the chief was lucky enough to be the driver, as part of reaching out to the community and teaching kids that cops are friends to all they serve and protect.
