Local Restaurant Cited for Serving Alcohol After Hours
Pomona's La Fuente Restaurant tried to disguise the after hours violation, according to authorities.
A Pomona restaurant was cited Nov. 23 for selling alcohol after the legal cutoff time, a police captain said.
La Fuente Restaurant, 987 S. Garey Ave., was cited for selling alcohol after 2 a.m. and before 6 a.m., said Pomona Police Capt. Michael Ellis. California law prohibits selling alcohol in those four hours.
About 2:30 a.m., undercover officers were sent to the restaurant and ordered alcoholic beverages. The suspect employee, Nubia Flores, 38, in an attempt to disguise the alcohol, served the beverage in hard plastic cups, Ellis said.

"It also appeared several other customers were consuming alcohol from similar plastic cups," he said.
Flores was cited and given a future court date. The case will be forwarded to the state Alcoholic Beverage Control, which could result in having the restaurant's liquor license being revoked or suspended.
