More Sweeps Mean More Arrests in Nearby Pomona
Pomona is conducting big sweeps in its town as it and its neighbors fight against an uptick in crime.

In the latest of three gang sweeps in Pomona, police arrested 50 people -- 33 of them on suspicion of felonies, police said today.
The arrests were made Friday and Saturday, but no names or booking charges were made public. Three guns and an illegal drug were seized, Pomona police Lt. Mike Keltner said.
Police said they targeted gang members, parolees and probationers. The sweep was the third since March.
