• SGV Multimodal Projects Roundup (streetsblog.org) — Claremont has secured nearly $428,000 for new bike lanes, wider sidewalks, and ADA-accessible curb ramps along Arrow Highway and Cambridge Avenue, upgrades that will directly affect how you walk, bike, and roll through town. The work is part of the East San Gabriel Valley Sustainable Multimodal Improvements Project, coordinated with the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments. Similar active-transportation efforts are underway in neighboring cities like Alhambra and Baldwin Park. 
• Ability First celebrates 100 years of empowering people with disabilities (abc7.com) — Ability First's Claremont center is marking the nonprofit's 100th year of empowering people with developmental and cognitive disabilities, offering everything from games and exercise to social skills support. Staff say the programs help participants gain confidence and independence, like one formerly shy ninth grader who's now thriving. A community "Stroll and Roll" fundraiser in November will help keep these services going.
