Firefighter Dads Welcome 9 Babies At Southland Fire District

In 2019, nine Rancho Cucamonga Fire District firefighters became fathers within five months of each other in a recent Baby Boom!

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Is there anything more adorable than firefighters holding babies? Patch thinks not. Recently, the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District shared the happy news that nine of their firefighters became fathers over a five-month time.

Perhaps there's something in the water that inspired the baby boom? Between March and July of 2019, seven girls to two boys were born to firefighters in the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District.

Mother and firefighter wife Lindsay Shook took the opportunity to capture the moment and these rare photos for the fire district. Rancho Cucamonga Fire District showcased the special event on social media.

"We are thrilled to see our Rancho Cucamonga Fire District family continue to grow," a spokesperson said over social media.

The pictures of babies, each laying on their daddy's respective turnout gear, encircled with helmets and hose spelling out RCFD, look pretty chill.

Within two days, the photos had been shared over 1,000 times and earned almost 3,000 likes for the district. Notes of congratulations have poured in from across the country.

Comments have centered on how the district handled that much paternity leave all at once!

But, hey. Here they are, raising up the next generation for all to see!

Most of all, residents congratulated everyone involved for photo-documenting the momentous fire district "Baby Boom." And, congrats to the moms who made it all possible.
