Spectrum Awards $7,500 to Just Us 4 Youth
Spectrum Employee Community Grant Winner Provides Critical Mentoring and Supportive Services for Youth and Families

Spectrum announced a donation of $7,500 to Just Us 4 Youth through the company’s national community philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants.
Based in Pomona, Just Us 4 Youth is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of mentoring services and long-term support for urban youth and families throughout the Inland Valley.
The Spectrum Employee Community Grant award was presented at a grand opening event for their new community center on April 10, alongside State Sen. Susan Rubio and Pomona city councilmembers.
The funding will support their Transitional Age Youth Program, which offers transitional housing and essential basic needs for homeless youth, helping them develop more stable and self-sufficient lifestyles.

“It’s wonderful to have Spectrum help us support our at-promise youth in Pomona, as they navigate a digital divide that is more about adoption, than it is about infrastructure,” said Jose Rivera, Executive Director, Just Us 4 Youth. “It’s great to see an organization like Spectrum encourage their employees to get involved with the causes they support.”
Spectrum employee Peter Hidalgo nominated the organization for the grant.
“I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Just Us 4 Youth Board and witness them do the kind of work that doesn’t just change outcomes, but changes lives,” said Peter, Spectrum Senior Director of Government Affairs. “When you invest in this organization, you’re not just supporting a program, you’re stepping into a young person’s story and helping rewrite their future.”
Spectrum Employee Community Grants have provided funding to nearly 600 local nonprofits in 35 states throughout the company’s service area since its inception in July 2019.

“Through Spectrum Employee Community Grants, we’re proud to provide support to vital community organizations with which our employees are already volunteering their time and talent,” said Keri Askew Bailey, Group Vice President of Government Affairs for Spectrum. “Together, we’re building stronger communities where our customers and employees live and work across the country.”
Recipients deliver critical social services, helping underserved residents meet basic needs, including food, shelter, clothing, job training and neighborhood safety. Each awardee is nominated by one of the company’s 95,000 U.S. employees who has volunteered with the organization for at least one year.
