Suspect Arrested in Series of Claremont Robberies
Police believe that Lund Colton is responsible for four residential incidents near the Village.

Claremont Police have arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with four residential robberies in the area of the Village.
Lund Colton, who had no known address, was taken into custody Wednesday, May 29 after officers said they spotted him acting suspiciously and looking into several homes along Harvard Avenue. Detectives had been canvassing the neighborhood looking for suspects when Colton’s vehicle caught their eye.
At 5:32 p.m., officers said they saw Colton enter a home in the 1100 block of Harvard and emerge several minutes later carrying a canvas bag. Officers stopped the vehicle a few blocks away and he was arrested.
When authorities checked the home Colton allegedly entered, it was confirmed that a burglary had occurred, Claremont Police officials said. Property from the residence was located inside the suspect vehicle, officials added.
Four residential burglaries have occurred in the area of the Village between May 26 and 28. Detectives are checking to see if Colton can be connected to the other burglaries.
