Truck Driver Arrested in Connection with Pomona Woman's Death
A Pomona woman was struck and killed while standing next to a disabled vehicle on the edge of the Antelope Valley Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver of a semi-tractor-trailer rig was arrested in connection with the death of a Pomona woman who was struck while standing next to a disabled vehicle on the edge of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was hit on Saturday at 11:28 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway north of Agua Dulce Canyon Road, according to the CHP, in a press release.
The woman "was standing on the left side of her disabled vehicle along the white edge line" when the rig collided with her, according to the CHP.

The woman was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead, the release said. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation continues, the CHP said.
