Two Accused of Operating Drug Growing Operation Free on Bail

Jeremy Miulli and Kevin Liu, were arrested around 1 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of felony cultivation of cannabis and possession of concentrated cannabis.

Two men suspected of running a drug-growing operation out of their Pomona home -- which caught fire and brought authorities to their door -- were free on bail today.

Jeremy Miulli, 20, and Kevin Liu, 21, were arrested around 1 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of felony cultivation of cannabis and possession of concentrated cannabis. Miulli was released later that day. Liu was released Sunday, according to jail records.

Police and fire crews responded to the home in the 300 block of Foxbury Avenue on a report of a fire in the garage, according to Lt. Eddie Vazquez of the Pomona Police Department.

While searching for people inside the home, authorities discovered marijuana, concentrated cannabis, packaging material and equipment used to process illegal drugs such as concentrated cannabis, also known as hashish oil. About 11 mature plants were also recovered, as was paraphernalia such as scales, baggies and cooking appliances.

Police said two additional suspects were still being sought.
