• ‘Never going to feel safe': California neighborhood flooded with over 1 million gallons of sewage (sfchronicle.com) — Clearlake residents on Robin Lane are still relying on hauled and bottled water months after a massive January sewer-line rupture sent about 1.38 million gallons of raw sewage through their neighborhood and into local wells. Fourteen residents are now suing Lake County over alleged decades of poor sewer maintenance, while Clearlake city officials push to take control of the troubled system and pursue regulatory complaints.
   

• Whomp, Whomp, Whir: That Low-Flying Helicopter? It's PG&E (kymkemp.com) — If you see or hear low-flying helicopters over Clearlake this month, they’re likely PG&E crews using LiDAR and high-resolution cameras to inspect powerlines and nearby trees for wildfire risks. Flights are happening daily, weather permitting, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. across Lake County, including Clearlake, Lower Lake, Kelseyville, Lakeport, Clearlake Oaks and Upper Lake.
