• Man Sentenced to Life Without Parole in 1982 Cloverdale Murder Case (ca.gov) — A long-cold 1982 murder of 13-year-old Sarah Geer in Cloverdale has ended with a life-without-parole sentence for the man a Sonoma County jury found guilty. New DNA and genealogical work, plus renewed efforts by Cloverdale Police and federal partners, finally identified a suspect, bringing a measure of closure for the victim’s family and the broader Cloverdale community after 44 years.
