What to know (fresnobee.com) ā Clovis is scrambling to meet a court-ordered mandate for about 1,300 higher-density housing units, but fierce neighborhood opposition and recent City Council reversals have left the city short of its target. With only 817 units currently approved, officials warn Clovis could land back in court, while residents raise concerns about school crowding, safety, and changing development rules that make apartments easier to build.

ā¢ Clovis Police Step Up DUI Patrols for Labor Day (gvwire.com) ā Clovis police will deploy extra officers on Labor Day to crack down on drivers suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and theyāre urging residents to line up sober rides in advance. The department warns that a first-time DUI can cost around $13,500 and a suspended license, and reminds drivers that some medications and marijuana can also impair driving. Ā Ā Ā

- We hiked all the way up to the clouds yesterday.
Over 11,000 feet of elevation. If you ever gaze at the Sierras and see thunderheads forming on top of the mountains, that's where we were. (Nextdoor Clovis Gardens) - I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on NA meetings or groups in the area, also I am looking for a church that is accepting of people who suffer from addiction and help guide them on a road to recovery, I was very hesitant on posting
this due to the fear of judgement or disgust but I am really focusing on my road to recovery and by posting this I am hoping to get some guidance notā¦ (Nextdoor Old Town)
