• CONFIRE EMS Replaces AMR As New Ambulance System Launches In San Bernardino County (vvng.com) — Emergency medical transport in Colton is now handled by CONFIRE EMS and Priority Ambulance, which have officially replaced AMR across most of San Bernardino County. Officials say residents should still call 911 as usual, but can expect new CONFIRE-branded ambulances, coordinated countywide dispatch, and an expanded system intended to keep paramedics and hospital resources available for the most serious emergencies. 
• Data Breaches Announced by Saber Healthcare & Buchalter (hipaajournal.com) — Patients connected to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton are being notified that limited personal data was accessed in a cybersecurity incident at the hospital’s outside law firm, Buchalter. While there’s no evidence of misuse so far, investigators confirmed some ARMC patient information was exposed, and the firm says it has tightened security and begun mailing individual notification letters.
• California Bill Exempting Metal Shredders From Hazardous Waste Protections Becomes Law, State Must Act to Protect Frontline Communities (earthjustice.org) — Colton residents living near metal shredding facilities are among those most affected by a new California law, SB 811, which weakens certain hazardous waste rules for these operations. Environmental advocates from Colton and other cities warn the change could worsen pollution and fire risks in working-class neighborhoods, and they’re urging state regulators to impose strict oversight and stronger protections for frontline communities.
