• Wildfire Grants Support Local Agencies (territorialdispatch.com) — Colusa County fire protection is getting a boost, with two local agencies sharing $24,000 in new wildfire safety grants for specialized gear and protective equipment. Funded through the California Fire Foundation and PG&E Foundation, the money supports equipment, vegetation management, and public education projects aimed at better preparing Colusa and neighboring counties for increasingly dangerous fire seasons.

• Yuba City Replacing Aged Dispatch System (wheatlandsun.com) — Colusa residents could see smoother cooperation during major incidents as Yuba City replaces its decades-old dispatch system with RIMS, the same platform already used by Colusa Police and the Colusa County Sheriff's Office. The upgrade is designed to improve information sharing, mapping, and mutual-aid responses, and may lay groundwork for a future regional dispatch center serving multiple nearby communities.
