1 Dead In 3-Car Crash On Monument Boulevard In Concord
Monument Boulevard was closed for nearly five hours Wednesday as the fatal crash was investigated.
CONCORD, CA — One person died in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday in Concord's westside Four Corners neighborhood.
Officers responded at 5:53 p.m. to reports of the collision on Monument Boulevard, near Lacey Lane.
One of the involved drivers, an 84-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The other two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Monument Boulevard was closed between Lacey Lane and Reganti Drive for the investigation but reopened about 10:30 p.m.

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
The fatal incident remained under investigation; police asked any witnesses to contact Traffic Officer Nanthasiri at 925-671-5096.
