2 Missing Boys Found With Mother Who Was Arrested Day Before Their Disappearance

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Two Contra Costa County boys reported missing Monday have been found.

The boys, 12-year-old Isaiah Figueroa and 13-year-old Gianni Figueroa, were the subject of a California Endangered Missing Advisory.

They were reported missing about a week after they were last seen around 6 p.m. July 13 near Redwood Drive and Gentrytown Drive in Antioch, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the boys were believed to be traveling with 33-year-old Yesenia Villasenor in a white 2019 Toyota Highlander bearing California license plate 8KJR109.

The CHP activated the advisory on Sunday and asked the public for help locating them.

Authorities announced Monday evening that both boys had been found safe.

Officials have not released additional details about where they were found or the circumstances surrounding their disappearance, and no arrests have been made as yet.

However, public records show Antioch Police arrested Villasenor on July 12, one day before the boys were reported missing.

According to Antioch police records, she was arrested at 9:27 a.m. in the 5100 block of Monitor Pass Way on suspicion of misdemeanor battery against a spouse, former spouse, dating partner, or similar.

Court and law enforcement records also show Villasenor has previous arrests.

Authorities have not said whether they will file criminal charges against Villasenor.

The California Highway Patrol has not released additional information about the investigation.
