52-Year-Old Concord Man Killed In Early-Morning Crash: Police

Adrian Perez was pronounced deceased at the scene Thursday morning after police said his vehicle veered off the road and struck a pole.

CONCORD, CA — A 52-year-old Concord man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning when the car he was driving crashed into a pole off of Monument Blvd., police said.

The driver, who was identified by the Contra Costa County’s coroner’s office as Adrian Perez, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers responded to the scene on Monument Blvd. near Virginia Lane at 6:14 a.m. Thursday and determined that Perez’s vehicle was traveling east and veered off the road and into the pole.The area was closed to traffic for about four hours.
