Bank Robber Crashes Into Parked Cars In Brief Chase: Concord PD
Witnesses provided a description of the car and officers circulated the area in search of it, police said.

CONCORD, CA — A man suspected of robbing a bank Wednesday afternoon in Concord was taken into custody when he crashed his car, police said.
Officers were sent to a bank in the 1000 block of Detroit Avenue shortly after the man indicated to a bank employee he had a gun and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, the Concord Police Department said in a statement.
The suspect was already gone when officers got to the bank but other officers circulated the area looking for the possible getaway car described by witnesses.

An officer soon spotted the car headed northbound on Contra Costa Boulevard in Pleasant Hill and chased the robber into the parking lot of a business in the 1400 block of Contra Costa Boulevard.
When the robber crashed into some parked cars, officers initiated a "high-risk stop" and took the suspect into custody without further incident, police said.

Cash along with other evidence from the bank robbery was found inside the car, police said.
"Luckily, no one was hurt as a result of the vehicle collision," police said. "The suspect was placed under arrest and booked for several felony charges."
