Tesoro Refinery Brush Fire Contained At 25 Acres

No injuries reported in the vegetation blaze, officials said.

CONCORD, CA – A 25-acre vegetation fire has been contained Friday afternoon at the Tesoro Refinery near Concord, Contra Costa County fire officials reported.

The fire was reported at 2:17 p.m. on refinery grounds and contained at 4:15 p.m. No injuries were reported, according to fire spokesman Ryan Bain.

He said the fire has been handed back to the Tesoro fire brigade, which will monitor and extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Contra Costa County firefighters are responding to a vegetation fire at the Tesoro Refinery near Concord this afternoon.

The fire was reported at 2:17 p.m. on refinery grounds and has currently burned a little over 20 acres, according to fire spokesman Ryan Bain.

Fire officials are working with the refinery to access surrounding roads and extinguish the blaze, Bain said.
