Cause Of Concord House Fire Under Investigation

Authorities are investigating Friday's two-alarm fire inside a Concord home that officials believe may be a marijuana grow house.

CONCORD, CA — The cause of a morning house fire that reached two alarms Friday is under investigation, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said.

The fire was reported just after 6 a.m. and the two-story home at 4052 Rhoda Way was heavily involved with thick smoke coming from the rear.

The responding battalion put out a call for a second alarm and crews speculated that the residence could be a marijuana grow house, according to a news release from the district, with all crews continuing their attack from the exterior as a result
