BREAKING: Concord police are questioning a 911 caller as a person of interest in the death of a Fresno woman at Best Western Heritage Inn.

CONCORD, CA — UPDATED: An investigation is underway into the death of a woman this weekend at a Concord hotel, according to police. Officers were initially dispatched at 10:42 p.m. Sunday to a report of a physical assault inside a room at the Best Western Heritage Inn at 4600 Clayton Road, Concord police Lt. Nick Gartner said.

Medical personnel tried to revive the woman — identified as 24-year-old Guadalupe Riggi, of Fresno —but she was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

Her death is being investigated as suspicious. Detectives were on scene overnight following leads, and as of Monday afternoon were questioning a person of interest in the case.
